IBTCI provides strategy development, evaluation and assessment planning as well as renewable energy qualifications.  IBTCI has previous expertise in working closely with international government entities and their regulations; identifying the environmental, social and poverty reduction implications of current energy strategies imposed in countries; and determining the possibility of encouraging the use of alternative energy resources (renewable energy). IBTCI also works with key stakeholders and decision makers and planners to facilitate discussion of the optimal energy solutions that are feasible within established budgetary and sustainability goals.

In multiple continents, IBTCI has led large assessments of infrastructure, including buildings and utility networks.  IBTCI has tools for visiting infrastructure post-construction to determine its utilization by the public.  In Yemen and the Caribbean, IBTCI has led assessments of damage to schools from conflict and from natural disasters.
