IBTCI provided support to the United States Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Nutrition Enterprise Initiative effort to research, plan and better articulate a nation-wide strategy to promote better nutrition among Americans. IBTCI supported the USDA to expand its collaborations and communications with local, regional, and federal entities by drafting new approaches to promote coordinated public education campaigns and develop process-improvement tools for feedback and learning. Within the USDA, IBTCI provided a nutrition expert that served as secretariat for workshops and planning resulting in the Nutrition Initiative Program Strategy, building on IBTCI/s extensive international experience analyzing nutrition programs that address large populations with a combination of education and food interventions.
