IBTCI was selected to assist with the pre-privatization of Ceskoslenvska Obchodni Banka, one of the largest banks in the Czech Republic. IBTCI’s assistance included systems transformation, treasury and risk management capability, and problem loan work-outs. IBTCI developed and adopted a manual of treasury rules and regulations, implemented a risk management process and risk adjusted capital adequacy methodology, and developed a credit manual consisting of training in and implementation of the new procedures. Project assistance also included reviewing, prioritizing, and assigning problem loan cases to managers and teams, implementing the system’s transformation process, monitoring tools and procedures and a quality assurance program, and developing and implementing product costing and profitability measures. In transforming the bank’s information systems, IBTCI assisted the Ceskoslenvska Obchodni Banka by establishing a Quality Assurance and Standards Center, including a quality assurance manual and a standard for bank transactions.
