Africa TLMP

IBTCI was selected to conduct the final evaluation of USAID’s Bureau Textbook and Learning Materials Program (TLMP) for the development and distribution of learning materials in Ghana, Senegal, South Africa, Tanzania, Malawi and Ethiopia. The TLMP was implemented to promote early-age learning opportunities within Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA), strengthen partnerships between American and African educational institutions, and promote themes of gender, health, and others in curriculum development. IBTCI’s evaluation entailed data collection, review, and analysis, coordination and management with local communities and partners, and site visits. IBTCI utilized site visits to supervise classroom education in SSA, conducted key informant interviews (KIIs) with minority serving institutions (MSIs), government education officials, and school faculties, obtained and reviewed project documents, developed and edited preliminary country reports, and wrote a final overall report evaluating project effectiveness and implementation.
