Ms. Lauren Oing, MA, BA, currently serves as a Director within the Conflict, Crisis and Governance Practice at International Business and Technical Consultants. In this role, she leads, manages and provides technical guidance to IBTCI projects in Sub-Saharan Africa, and contributes to new business efforts. A democracy, governance and peacebuilding expert, Ms. Oing has managed, supported and implemented projects in unstable or politically transitioning countries in Africa and Asia. Working on and leading programs in conflict and post conflict environment, Ms. Oing has expertise in designing M&E and learning approaches that are meaningful, flexible and practicable for development practitioners operating in challenging environments. Prior to joining IBTCI, Ms. Oing has been an implementer with US-based NGOs, including serving as Team Leader for a peacebuilding and conflict mitigation program in southern Somalia, as well as Country Representative/Chief of Party for elections and parliamentary strengthening projects in Somaliland. Ms. Oing received her Master’s Degree in History of International Relations from the London School of Economics and Political Science, and her Bachelor Degree in History from Amherst College in Massachusetts.
