PEACE II Final Evaluation

Peace in East and Central Africa II (PEACE II) Program Final Evaluation

IBTCI conducted the final performance evaluation of USAID/East Africa’s Peace in East and Central Africa II (PEACE II) program, which was USAID/East Africa’s primary conflict mitigation activity in terms of financial investment and profile, and operated in multiple peace corridors on the Kenya-Somalia border (the Somali cluster) and in one corridor on the Kenya-Uganda border (the Karamoja cluster). IBTCI conducted an evidence-based evaluation that investigated the effectiveness of PEACE II in 1) building community conflict prevention, mitigation, and response capacity and 2) improving security in targeted communities. The evaluation team collected information along the border areas of Kenya-Somalia and Kenya-Uganda, and presented a final briefing to client staff at the East Africa Mission.
